Is the Fallacy of Equivocation committed here? How do i explain it?

Trump once tweeted
" It's Snowing and Freezing in NYC. What the hell ever happened to global warming?"

I feel that a fallacy of equivocation is actually committed in this argument but in a subtle and indirect way which i have problem explaining it and showing a breakdown of the argument. Or is the fallacy actually not committed here?

I think it's better categorised as a straw man than as equivocation.

Yeah, Michael is being nice.

Ignorance is not a fallacy. Trump is either ignorant of the facts concerning climate change, or is speaking insincerely.

This is a well-known climate-science-denier tactic. It involves confusing weather with climate. Weather changes and can even snow, while climate deals with the longer term averages. There is nothing about climate change that states it can't snow. So, it's a categorical error.
