Wittgenstein and Turing
For those of you interested in a more in depth analysis of Wittgenstein's relationship with Turing and vice versa, this video should provide grist for the mill. My purpose is not to lead any discussion, but to provide the impetus, via this video, for a discussion. Juliet Floyd's talk is given in the first hour, and the last thirty minutes she takes questions.

When I have the time, I will watch it. Sounds fascinating.
She answers questions, but some of them are hard to hear.
That's quite all right, since I'm also hard on hearing.

"To get the picture".
But Sam26: it is always a tactical mistake to ask members to watch a video. Much better to summarise the argument of the video in 100-200 words, and include a link to it in your post, for those who want to pursue it in more detail. Nobody is going to invest 1.5 hours in watching a video which may or may not be relevant to their philosophical interests.
@180 Proof is a science fiction nerd.
Popular in hippy culture in my youth.
And in mine. I really hated that book. Actually, I hated almost all of Heinlein that I read. I did really like Starship Troopers. It was one book where his fascistic fantasies worked.
