Bio

I am a father and a husband with various animals and plants. I am a student of the creative arts, government administration, spiritual matters, ethics, and the deeper questions in life.

Mowing my lawn turned me on to philosophy. The gods help me understand it.

My favorite hobbies are thinking and laughing. I joined this forum to learn from other lovers of wisdom.

Favourite Philosopher

The Presocratics, Lao Tzu, Aristotle, Hume, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Camus, Gasset, Emerson

Favourite Quotations

“One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star."
- Friedrich Nietzsche

"Be a philosopher but, amid all your philosophy be still a man."
- David Hume
