So, science moves by proofs, not beliefs. If a scientist or philosopher says physicalism is true, we expect proofs.

If the universe had intention to create humans it sure took a long time.

Physicalism is a metaphysics. There is no way to prove it false or true.

It should bother people who believe the universe wanted to have humans in it and that is the sole purpose of the universe.

If you want to go this far, then human life is not necessary. The universe can exist without us.
