People not being notified of mentions?

Has anyone else noticed that they're not being notified of mentions? I think this is distinct from the old "edited in mentions don't work" bug.

Once in a while. The misses seem very randomly scattered, and it's been going on for quite some time.

Reply to fdrake I was notified just then, so it's working sometimes at least. I have a vague sense that there are some edge cases in which mentions don't work as expected, but I don't know what those cases are.
