Philosophy/Psychology book suggestions.
Hello all. I have been reading lacan for a while now. I expected valuable knowledge from him... Chomsky considers him a quack. I've also read Lacan through Zizek. Still it looked like quackery. Along with those two I've also been reading Steven Pinker's how the mind works. But that is not the material I'm looking for. I would like to read a book that has a detailed analysis of the human condition. So if you would like to suggest a book that has all the right material and that's along the lines of philosophy with verified science content along with and not necessarily psychology but along with since it seems to encompass the human condition, I'd appreciate it.

Karl Popper (1976) "Unended Quest; An Intellectual Autobiography".
Thanks. I'll look into it.
