Happy New Year's to you all.

Shawn December 31, 2016 at 22:24 7875 views 19 comments
Just wanted to say that I wish you guys a Happy New year.

Any wishes or new resolutions?

I hope to find the resolve for this New Year to start working hard and spend as much of my time being productive. I find philosophy makes me quite apathetic and worry all the time about falling behind in just about everything life-related.

Best regards.

I was born in September, so I still have a bit of time before the new year rolls in.

Hah, over my dead body. If anything building a stronger work ethic and such are instrumental for possibly going after a degree in philosophy in the future. As far as I know, it's a pretty tough degree to get.

Reply to Agustino Yeah, I'm trying not to get too hyped. As usual, I will be home observing other people having fun, and I'm quite content with that. Cheers.

Then 'good' should suffice.

Have a good new year.

Peace, health, sustenance, and blessings to all beings in this new year! May all without exception be filled with wisdom, love and compassion. (L)

I thought this was supposed to be a philosophy forum. Philosophers have no business wishing unfulfillable dreams on anybody or believing that there is any fundamental difference between the world at 23.59 on December 31st and at 00.01 on January 1st or indeed that there is such a thing as 1st January at all! Bah, humbug!

Here's to a eudaimonic new year.
