Weird site opening in chrome

Keeps opening.

Especially when I don't press anything for awhile, so while I'm reading articles on the guardian for instance.

I've just narrowed it down to certain ads being on screen causing a redirect without me selecting the ad. That has to be illegal...

Reply to Benkei Sounds like you may have your browser hijacked. I'd run a scan with Malwarebytes or something similar and see if it picks up something.

Yeah, probably an XSS attack. The ad is able to exploit a vulnerability in the target site allowing it to run certain scripts like page redirects.

I just told the man with the mask behind the desk who I wanted to vote for and he put a tic mark next to the name and then I went home. I don't see what the big deal is.
