Should China be blamed and punished

Is blaming China immature, hypocritical and downright childish? For instance, the flu that hit Spain in 1918 was imported from America. Did America get blamed and punished? I don't think so. Wouldn't it be better to keep a positive attitude and to cooperate with the rest of the world In Defeating this virus while looking for the underlying lesson in this trial of humanity and learning in the process? Trump seems to have assumed an outdated isolationistic, divisive, and selfish stance against the world since winning the election and it influences Americans. What do you say?
