Do coriander leaves taste like soap?
I recently bought some tacos from a food truck and tasted it. I was immediately repulsed by its coriander (leaves, not seed) flavor. I wondered how people can like something that tasted this bad. So I googled "coriander", and it turns out that certain people have a gene that makes them able to taste a specific chemical in coriander which cause some people to think coriander taste like soap. I'm one of those people.
I'm curious about what you taste when you try coriander.

Tastes great to me. I use it a lot. I call it cilantro these days, to avoid confusion with the seed.

There's something similar going on with milk.
I love Cilantro now but I haven't always. Living in the desert Southwest Cilantro is very popular and used right it is amazing
Sounds like my kind of place.
