How does this work? I am new and the original post is unseen.
The original post in that discussion isn't unseen by me and by others. You should be able to see it too if you're on the right page. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to see it.

You might be on the last page of what is a multi-page thread. At the bottom of the thread is a series of numbers (it goes up to 11 as of this post), and if you click on '1', it will take you to the start of the thread.
