Are people better off in smaller cultural groups vs large , collective groups? What are the consequences, if any, to collectivism?

Reply to halo The horse has been out of the barn since civilization started. Most of human history was groups of a couple hundred people in tribes. So you might argue that is what we evolved for, however it's kind of hard to walk that back when you have nearly 8 billion and thousands of years of culture based on civilization.

GB is still millions of people comprised of different cultures and ethnicities, and its still part of global markets and politics where its people have access to global telecommunications.
