Self-awareness and Consciousness
As rare as it apparently it is, self-awareness, the awareness that one somehow exists, is not yet real consciousness, but signals a potential for consciousness. So, you are not actually conscious just because you are aware of the fact that you think, feel, speak, do, perceive. You do not really know why any of these things happen or what they really mean. At least at present, you are more of a biological robot than a human being. Do you find these ideas interesting? Perhaps you would like to read a book called "In Search of the Miraculous" by P.D. Ouspensky about the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff.
