I have read some of a kindle sample of this book:

https://www.amazon.com/G-W-Leibnizs-Monadology-Students/dp/0822954494/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1473214373&sr=8-2&keywords=leibniz+rescher

I thought it was very good from what I read, but I have just discovered that the Kindle edition seems to be no longer available, which is disappointing, because I am confident I will want to return to it.

My dilettantism often gets the better of me, though, so who knows?

Russell's A Critical Exposition of the Philosophy of Leibniz remains one of the great studies, imo.
