How we underestimate others: The Third Person Effect

rickyk95 July 28, 2017 at 17:45 950 views 0 comments
Most of us tend to overestimate our abilities to discern information on the media and to not be easily influenced. Conversely, we tend to think that others are easily manipulated and are highly vulnerable towards being influenced by political ads, and television shows. It turns out, that this is a bias that has been widely backed up by evidence in psychology. The implications that this has for political discourse are significant and worth considering. I thought I would share this article I wrote about it with you guys, hope you like it, and lets see what feedback I get!
