How to conduct a poll and poll about questions?

I did not see any instructions on how to conduct a poll and poll about questions? So I will try an example here now. What is the difference between a question and poll? I think it would be helpful to have a tutorial somewhere on the site.

Can I ask multiple questions and have multiple polls on the same thread?

Is the poll the tally of the answers to the question?

I will try another thread in an effort to answer some of my questions.

Polls have a poll, like the one you've just done. Questions allow you to accept a particular reply as an answer.

For example, I've accepted this reply as the answer, and there's now a "View Answer" button above your poll, and an "Accepted Answer" indicator here.
