Unofficial non-lengthy occurrence thread

Hi all, wanted to post a few of my own non-lengthy occurrences here and will be doing so shortly. Maybe a paragraph or two at most or whatever. Could be a short joke, little tale of passion and indifference, short but interesting excerpt from a larger scene, brief (but interesting to read and ponder philosophically) dialog between two people, whatever.

Might add a poll or something later. Have at it! Again will be posting my own shortly.

So a joke for example, maybe, a guy, some other guy, and yet another guy walk into a bar.. something funny happens that's not cheesy.

A short tale that's again interesting. Two people talking about "how it all went wrong" and "humanity creates its own demise by wishing to prevent it" or some collection of intellectually meaty quips or back-and-forths like that. Let's see what you got!

I like the idea a lot. Nothing really current to offer at the moment....

Nothing but work happening around here, so freaking boring.
Maybe that was what made me click on this thread.
